Default 97 civic sedan b18c starting swap.

hey guys this is my 1997 civic that has no problems at all except rear quarters, will be cut out this summer and welded on and painted for a pro finish.

right now i picked myself up a b18c block and building it up from there right now my builds looking like,
OEM bearings
Forged pistons 81.50 mm bore
OEM waterpump/timing belt
Skunk2 IM
Main stud bolts
mainly doing a daily driver build that will be also turboed by summer. will keep up too date on pictures and information from here on.

this is the block im starting with already have the, its been bored over 0.50mm so now its 81.50, sending it too a machine shop for pistons in a week or two.

Got most of the build parts together just need a type r transmission and b series axles.

dropped the crank / dissasembled head just valves/springs / block too be machined and etc for 100% fit, pistons put in then. then head back together reassemble the block and just need a type r lsd transmission. post pictures when items are back and building.

Got the items back from the machine shop, crank/head/block all reaurfaced and reconditioned, got some mahle performance 9.5.1 pistons with mahle (cleveite) bearings a fel pro gasket set. Just need connecting rods

first thing i think you should do before the engine work, is remove that wing i see back there. otherwise it looks good

Aha i love that wing i like the ricer look painting the car right now while building the engine also for after i have type r mud flaps too make it look more ricer aha.

My main question is i just need connecting rods whats a good brand too go with my build ? Wondering if i should keep the mahle build just get mahle rods.
