Havent been here in a good while. Well here's my thing, I had 6K HID fogs that worked fine on my EJ6 before, but then I bought a set of ebay 3K standard fogs, wiring and all. Well when I installed them, I thought it'd be ok to use the same set up, wiring, and relay from the HIDs to the regular fogs so I spliced the cables and put them together with the new fogs and all, and when I went to turn them on, the cables burned at the connections and smoke came from under the dash where the fuse box is at, where the original cables were connected. So then I was like "wtf?!?!" so then I hooked up the wiring that came with the ebay set all properly but now they just simply wont turn on. Everything is connected properly, grounded, and the relay is hooked up, so wth is the problem. Any help guys? I feel like my baby is sorta blind without the fogs

 

what cables the bulb cables? your not supposed to do anything to those?

you probably burnt them out Also did you replace the fuse and wire that burnt?
sounds like you gave yourself a potentially HUGE electrical issue.

 

Well I know that cuz 1st of all I know nothing of electrical, except that black is ground, red power, and green signal sometimes. Do you know if I can connect the fogs directly to the turn signals? so they turn on with them on
