S2K injectors into OBD2 civic
Hello all. Ive been looking for info regarding if S2K injectors would fit into a 96 civic ex with OEM D16Y8. Since I havent found much info or threads covering this issue I thought I would be generous and offer some details covering my install.
First off if youre asking will they fit? Yes (directly-on obd2 d16y8 and similar manifolds) but you must have 2 of the 3 main bolts that hold the fuel rail from the s2k, because the pencil type injectors from the s2k are shorter. You only need 2 because civics only have 2 bolt holes (atleast on the d16y8) whereas the S2K has 3.
Everything else from here on is pretty much just swap and bolt. All the bolts from the s2k fits directly in the same hole & thread as the civics and the plugs obviously are obd2 so its also plug & play the o-rings on the top (fuel rail side) has to be from the civic, but I found that the bottom o-rings (manifold side) are pretty much identical. I simply reused the stock ones. Everything should fit snug like OEM.
There you go now you have 360cc high flowing injectors perfect for high compression or small turbo build. I used a vafc2 to control the fuel and it wasnt hard at all to tune because the difference in flow was not to significantly high so the vafc had no problems controlling it.
