98 Accord oil leak - ERG flange @ intake manifold

98 Accord oil leak - ERG flange @ intake manifold
Greetings. I have a cap a day oil leak that appears to be coming from the intake manifold where ERG flange enters cylinder head. Engine also sounds like it has a knock in one of the valves. Could these be related? Any ideas how to fix? There is no antifreeze getting into the oil from my observations.

*I'm assuming your car has the F23 four cylinder engine.*
The EGR valve has no oil through it, however if your car has VTEC the VTEC solenoid is right next to the EGR valve and if it is leaking it may squirt oil out during VTEC operation.
If your engine is knocking at part throttle cruise it may be due to clogged EGR port.
If the area where the leak is cleaned, you will have a better idea of where the oil leak actually is coming from. The valve cover gasket may just be leaking, if so the oil can pool by the ledge next to the EGR.
