What the hell happened to my b16a?
Good people of Honda-Tech, I come to you with another over-my-head problem.
Last night, I was getting on the highway, and was pushing up to about 4k, when my car starts to sputter a bit, then backfires hard. I start to pull over and my engine shuts off.
No smoke. No CEL's.
I was able to start it up again, but it idles sporadically and wont go past about 3.5k, and also will turn off on me at idle.
I pulled out the plugs and theres no water or metal shavings in thh cylinders.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Before this happened, I had a problem where after about 4k, my tach would jump around. I didn't pay it much attention, as my speedo also does not work, and I chalked up both the problems to a faulty cluster and planned on replacing it later. I now feel this is not the case.
I had also just performed a fresh oil change earlier that day, with mobil 1 full synthetic and a new filter.
JDM b16a, gsr cams, obd0 pr3 ecu, ys1 gsr transmission
Any help, ideas, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The car seems to be running fine today, with the exception of the tach bouncing post-4k. Im guessing that after the backfire/misfire, the ecu went to limp mode.
As for the distributor, I agree. I had seen something posted elsewhere where someone was having a similar tachometer problem, and a new dizzy fixed it.
Being obd0, do i need a obd0 dizzy? Or can a different one simply be re-wired with my current plug?
