Default 2007 Honda CRV alternator walk-through?

I definitely have a dead alternator. Absolutely zilch movement in volatage reading before and after starting the car. Crazy lights flickering...car dies from srunning on battery...etc...been there with lots of other cars.

Can anyone give me a quick walkthrough on pulling it? I already see I'm going to pull the power steering pump...but how do I get at the tensioner bolt to get the belt off...or is there a trick around it?...well, I'll leave it to you to tell me the best way to get to the alternator. Thanks again people...!

I tried changing my belt last year and it was literally the HARDEST job due to the limited amount of space you have in the engine bay and how low the engine sits.

I don't have the service manual with me but it looks like you defintely have to remove one of the radiator fans and maybe even the front bumper, I'm not sure, but I'll tell you that it's a simple job but made difficult due to the lack of space. I have an 07 fyi

Just had a 07 at the dealership that was not charging, ended up being the shield on the cat converter rusted loose and rubbed through the o2 sensor wiring blowing the alternator fuse. Check that first, then to remove the alternator remove the p/s pump, the idler pulley and the pass engine mount, and it will slide right out.

Once you have the mount out getting the belt on and off is a breeze

Best way to remove the belt is to remove the pass. side tire and pass. side splash shield.

A few clips removed will do wonders

Big bump here. My 2007 CRV Alternator is not charging . Where is the battery fuse located ? If the alternator is bad, I will go ahead at and replace the belt tensioner assemble too as it the original. I presume that the will be no access problem will the other stuff out of the way ? -Thanks
