Hello there Honda-Tech. I have 2000 Civic Ex Coupe that seemed to randomly have the SRS light come on while i was driving but then turned off after a couple of seconds. This is the second time this has happened so far.

I start the car and the SRS light will come on for 6 Seconds and shut off. so it seems like its working properly.

Anything i should check because i don't want this to become a problem in the future.

 

Pull the code and check the alternator.

 

Well went to jump the service connector, the SRS light came on for its usual 6 seconds then off and then stayed on solid. I believe that indicates that everything is good within the srs system. i will be checking out the alternator tomorrow.

Did the alternator ever get checked?

I have a similar - but not identical - situation with a 1997 del Sol Si.
