Hey, I did a B16 swap and my car was Auto before the swap so I'm wondering if my center console can hold a shift boot. Would I have to get a manual center console? I have an OEM shift boot and bottom frame from an EG but not sure it it would fit. The garage is far from home so plz let me know!

 

you can install the boot in the old console. Just take everything out of the old console.

 

thanks... so I'm just replacing the automatic shifter and base with the boot and manual shifter right? No mods? Will the EG metal base for the boot fit or would need to purchase EK boot to get this part? Looks similar but not sure if it's the same size. This the thin metal frame that the boot is pinned to..

 

You need the metal shift boot frame frame an EK. The EG version is narrower. The plastic console itself is the same between automatic and manual.
