Prayoonto Racing is proud to announce Hasport Performance signing on as the executinve sponsor for the 2014 race season.

We have finally joined forces to offer some new exciting products for the sport compact community," said team owner, Norris Prayoonto.
"Hasport will be focusing on bringing new products to the drag racers. As part of that effort, Hasport has teamed up with Prayoonto Racing to manufacture the Gangsta Lean K-series mount kits," says Brian Gillespie of Hasport. congratulations. I wish some of these sponsors would back some of the privateers so there would be more competition, which would lead to more enjoyable events for spectators. I always route for the small guy/girls that do it out of pocket.
Sponsors want return on their investment. Greater chance of that happening by giving to the bigger names and shops in the sport.
I agree 100%, but I also see the sponsors side of this. Attend the races like Prayoonto does and I'm sure you'll get help along the way.
It's all about how you present yourself to them and what you can offer them. They don't come looking for you. My program has worked very well for many years and I do this full time. Not saying that some not full time can't do the same job but it takes dedication. We do on average 15 events a year. Even before sponsors came on board I did at least 10 a year.

I think sponsorships from big companies are great for these big guys. Good for them! I've been fortunate enough to come across several people that have excelled in other fields that have had an interest in the automotive field. It does allow for a wider range of product availability and does allow for some fun testing new products no one else is using!
I have several ex-NASA engineers working on products for us. It's been a lot of fun so far.

Most of the smaller guys don't understand what a sponsorship entails, and most of the times the companies backing them get burned.
Our industry is to small to let things like this happen. People who gains sponsorships need to take things more seriously! And less partying.
