Clear coat peeling off carbon fiber
Havent seen it quite like this in previous threads ive searched. How can i fix it without an air compressor? Dont mind getting a buffer or something of that sort
read through that thread. really amazing work you do.
Im not sure if im capable of undertaking something like this myself. I would in a perfect world like to sand it myself, clean it, and take it somewhere to be recleared. (id learn something and the cost of the labor for sanding would probably come out to less than the cost of the sander)
would you suggest using even finer sandpaper to take the clear of? that way my mistakes (cuz im sure there will be) are less obvious?
and again, any tips? I would assume just to work slowly, check often, and read some more paint threads, maybe even get a book. I have a body/paint guy I can talk to as well for his help.
In the cold weather and the fl sun, I feel the great outdoors is doing it for me!!!
In a two week period, the clear has came off significantly, probably expand that ring 4 fold so much that it takes up close to half of trunk.
Is there an issue with leaving it out in the elements like that? Or is it just an eyesore?
