Default Jorge’s All-Motor 90x97 H2b by KAIZENSPEED

This build started as a B- All-Motor build for our buddy Jorge down in Oregon. We had just received a badass 4 Piston Racing head but as time passed we decided to change to an H2b platform using his existing B-trans, a 97mm F23 crank. Instead of a custom crank, tall-deck and custom sleeve B-series I decided on a H22 block, F23 crank, F23 Crower steel rods and custom CP Pistons.
After deciding on Crower F23 rods, we had to make a custom piston. Jeff braich was kind enough to provide details from his CP pistons and we modified it for this build by moving the ring grooves, enlarging the pin bore and making a less aggressive dome.
The build consists of:
-Benson Sleeved H22 block, 90mm bore, align honed
-KAIZENSPEED Balance Shaft Eliminator Kit
-KAIZENSPEED H22 Timing Tensioner
-F23 crank
-Custom CP Pistons with shorter compression height and 13cc dome
-Crower Rods

-EVO H2b kit
-Competition Clutch Super Single H2b clutch kit w/ Chromoly Flywheel (NO SPACER!)
-Stock trans

-Skunk2 Pro3 cams
-RLZ, Outlaw head (36mm intake, stock exhaust)
-Ferrea valvetrain (springs, seats, retainers, valve locks

-The intake manifold will be custom, built by our team here at KAIZENSPEED
-Header is being built by Stefan at ASP

The longblock isn’t together yet but we hope to have it running in the next few months. It all depends on the budget.
… After this season, I’d like to do a custom aluminum long rod engine with a deck plate, small pin and a custom crank. But it depends on Jorge’s budget.

Beautiful. Great to see another quality H build

Curious to see how Stefan designs the header. I remember speaking to him about doing one for my car a few years ago

Big thumbs up seeing combustion chambers are done for once and not just the ports.

Nice looking machine work

Why did you go w/bronze seats on the intake and not the exhaust? I have been looking into this for my build and have been seeing more of the bronze/copper seats on the exhaust side.

Nice! What compression ratio are you aiming for.
I'm also interested in what custom IM KAIZENSPEED will fabricate.

Mad scientist texted me. No pics for the public on Blade's custom crank!

...Custom cams are in this engine's future for sure.

Ferrea Roller Rockers are here

Maybe a cam comparison between Pro3 and KS custom roller cams for the H22...
Who else's cams should we test?
