02 type s cranks but no start
have a 02 rsx type s and about three days ago went to start it and the engine just cranks but doesnt start. the car has always ran flawless and has been babied its whole life being that i am close friends to the original owner and the second owner (im the third owner, friends were co-workers). its got 135k miles.
things ive done to try to get it to start
replaced the battery with a brand new one
replaced the battery terminals
fresh oil/filter change on mobil1 synthetic
checked all fuses under hood and dash (all good)
fuel pump primes
main relay clicks
pulled all coils/plugs all getting good spark
scanned codes and came up with pervious fault p1259 (would this code prevent the engine from starting?)
checked the vtec sol. and vtec pressure switch everything good.. continuity was perfect (never had issues with vtec and engages nicely)
anything else i can try?
going on three days of headaches but i did read somewhere else of someone with almost identical issues and it ended up being the cam position sensors.
car wont start but cranks please help! thanks!

had this problem on my ep3 about a month ago, thought it was the battery but when I jumped It, it turned out that it was running really rich for no apparent reason and the extra fuel took a while to burn out. Another thing that it could be is one of ur solenoids, if it was sitting for a while and u all of the sudden try wake them up, they're less likely to fire. Idk , that was the problem with my car, hope I could help!
failed timing chain tensioner?
do a compression test?
tensioner ratchet teeth break and slack in the chain leads to chain skipping teeth and falling out of sync with each other and the crank...
no compression? pop the valve cover and check cam timing with crank at tdc
