1. depends on your gears. you want to be at the top of fourth through the traps.

2. 24.5x8 should be plenty tire if you're only trapping 106. I'd look into dialing in your launch and suspension first.

Then yes, a smaller tire will make everything shorter overall, multiplying torque.

turn down the launch limiter rpm and are you running full boost in 1st gear ? Is the head built? Can you get more rpm out of it so you don't have to shift to 4th gear?

23"!

A customer of mine ("sleepinonacreeper" here on Honda-Tech) runs 23" tires on his 600whp K20 Civic, and has no problem making 10.2-10.5 @ 138-140mph passes without over-powering the tire.

The only problem with running 23" tires on your car would be finding a tire for a 15" wheel in that size.

M&H makes a 7.5" & 8.5" wide 23" slick for 15" wheels.

Yea I'm running full boost in 1st gear. Head is being built here directly and I can raise limiter a little more because I'm running it up to 7k right now.

I run the 23x 7.5 15" M&H and so far they have been great, only a few passes on them so far, but pulling a 1.7 60 ft on a track that is not very well prepped.

Spray, at that time it was only on a throttle switch so I sprayed once I was full throttle in all gears. Unfortunately I dont remember how far I was into fourth gear when I passed the 1320.
