Default First post: backlighting in 2005 Pilot dash

Hello. This is my first post here in the Pilot forum. I live in Landenberg, PA (extreme SE corner of PA, almost in DE). I own three Hondas: 2 Accords and a Pilot.

This post is about the backlighting in some of the controls (buttons, *****, etc.) on the center control panel (just in front of the shifter). It seems that there are several different backlight circuits because some areas are working fine (they light up at night when the lights are turned on) and some areas are not lit. At night there is no way to see the labels on the buttons/*****. This is a critical first-world problem. I know.

Any suggestions on how to begin troubleshooting this? Are these actual small 12-V lamps or LEDs? Is there a lamp/LED behind each button/dial, or does a single lamp/LED cover several buttons in a given area?
Thanks,
Tom

Yes they each have a bulb and they are not led. Some are harder than others to get to. Your local honda dealer should stock them
