Demon in older Neptune RTP
So I want to use the on-board logging of the demon, but I don't really want to get a whole new setup. I have an older RTP (IIRC 2008), and I from looking inside it doesn't seem to have a demon. Can I buy a Demon and install it into my older RTP? I see new demons are about $250, which would save me quite a bit of money/time.
You say that there is no board installed in your ECU now. Did you remove the RTP board already?
The Original Neptune RTP used the same 28pin socket installed on the ECU, so you should be able to pull the RTP board off and install the Demon. You will probably have to make modifications to the ECU case for the new cabling.

I'm a little confused about this, so just to clarify, the new neptune rtp have the demon installed on the board already or does the demon board replace the rtp board? I always assumed the demon was just added onto the neptune rtp board, but do you mean the demon replaces it altogether? Thank you for the quick response by the way.
The Demon board replaces the old RTP board completely.
The Demon is not a Neptune specific component. You can buy it separately from Moates.net and instal it. It is simply a newer updated real time emulator/RTP. You pull off your old RTP board and insert the Moates Demon. Then you tune using whatever software you want to use to tune your car. Neptune Demon, eCtune and/or Crome Pro can all be used with the Demon board.

It's not even about me. Moates.net will upgrade your old RTP to the Demon if you want. There will be some cost involved for the hardware, none of which goes to me for a license.
