Default Depo FX-R retrofit

I bought a set of Depo housings for 94-97 Accord with the idea of retrofitting using the Morimoto mini H1 projectors, but after reading around I have decided to go ahead and do the FX-R's instead. What I can't figure out though, is if anyone has used the 3 inch lenses on the FX-R's, or is everyone just using the 2.5s?

The main reason I decided to go with the FX-R's is because I don't like how low the Mini H1's sit inside the housing. The shroud and lense looks like its almost resting on the black frame of the housing. If anyone has any input on this please let me know. Thanks.
