Please help! Car unable to start - Fuses?
Short story, car is unable to start. I gave my car to a mechanic so he can fix a water pump, when I came back the next morning, the guy fled to Mexico so now im in a mess. There are 3 wires that I cant find any info on, could be for a alarm?
Checked timing belts & its there, looks to be timed right.. When I got the car back to my house, I had to place all the belts back in. First time trying to turn it over I noticed that the fuel pump wasn't priming... So I bought a new main relay & that wasn't it.. I looked in the fuse box a second time & noticed all plastic fuse in place of another fuse for ignition & that was the problem for the Fuel pump. Which leads me to believe that the reason it isn't turning on is a fuse issue but I cant seem to find what these 3 extra wires are for?? Looks to be for a alarm? Could these wires be the reason why? My other two ideas would be some type of issue with the power steering pump, because I did remove it.. & the alternator wasn't screwed in but I placed the belts on & the belt is still tight... Any ideas what this could be?

My guess is the timing is off. If the car ran and all he touched was the timing belt/water pump, logically timing is the only thing it really could be. Shouldn't have anything to do with wiring.
You could do a compression check. If the timing is off your compression will be terrible across the board.
Or you can make sure when you roll the engine over to the single timing mark on the crank pulley, that the lines on the camgears line up and are flush with the cylinder head. Maybe the mechanic set timing to the 3 timing marks on the crank by mistake?
