1997 Civic Ex Skunk2 Intake/Throttle Body Issue - Please Help!?
Uh, how exactly does the stock TB not bolt up to the IM?
Your problem is the IACV. On the autotragic, the IACV is part of the throttle body. On the standard, it's part of the intake manifold. Junk2's TB doesn't have the holes for an IACV, so you would have to relocate it to the intake manifold.

I don' know in d but for the b series, the new s2 manifold is now 70mm bore if you try to put a stock throttle the IACV passage stay inside the 70mm bore. Maybe is the same with D series manifold.
The "hardware" part of it is relatively easy, it's the wiring that can trip some people up. Honestly, with your car being an automatic, I would just go ahead and return it. You won't see ANY power gains without a proper tune, and a proper tune would require converting to OBDI (usually easy), but would also be stupidly expensive for minimal gains. On top of that, being an automatic, your OBDI conversion would be a bit more...entertaining, to say the least, and Honda autos just can't handle any kind of added power past stock.
If you're talking about what I think you are, no, they don't do anything. And yes, I'm being honest about D series bolt-ons. If you want more power out of a D, you need to turbocharge, supercharge, or spray it, and those modifications will take your auto transmission and shatter it.
