Ive checked rock auto and i just got back from auto zone
i cannot find oem coilsprings for the front on a crx

is there a good place to get these?
why are they so difficult to find?

its starting to look like i might have to go aftermarket lowering springs since theyre cheaper than the few front coil springs i have come across

 

all EF front springs are the same. hatch/sedan/wagon/crx they are available.

 

so springs from any 4th gen civic will fit my ED9? even hf and dx crx models

 

Yes, any 88-91 will fit. Otherwise try www.car-part.com its a nation-wide parts locator and will give you #'s of scrapyards closest to you. Might save a few $$

 

If you do happen to get a set of new springs (not used) then I suggest that you might get a set for the rear as well.
Over time they weaken and sag a bit. Might as well freshen up the whole car.
... and while you are at it, how about a new set of shocks/dampers as well?
