Default Used valves in new cylinder head

My friend totaled his car and his parting out his motor, he told me I could have his ferrea comp plus valves, can I use these valves in my cylinder head? Is there anything I should do to them before install? Thanks in advance for help.

First your engine have any modification? If is stock you have to remove your head and bought all the necessary hardware, just to say "I have Ferrea valves".

If your engine is moded then you need to know if they suit your engine requirements, some valves raise your compression others lower it, some are lightweight not suitable for Forced Induction etc.

When you install new or used valves you need to manually grind them to mate the head seat. The way to perfectly homemade check a valve is to mount it and grind it with soft compound if the new mating surface comes straight all around is good, if it have some spots where the head and the valve not create seal this valve is bent.

I'm building a motor and the ferrea comp plus are all dished, only ferrea entry level the 5000 series come flat faced, and my build is pretty extensive, I have been accumulating parts for a year and half now, just want to get input on if it is ok and what is recommended

Yes, you can mount used valves. But for peace of mind check them as I mentioned above.

When I mention grind in my post I refer to "Lap" now that bswapped use the correct word in English. (sorry if any confusion)
