bad CV joint ???
i was wondering if i had a bad CV joint
this morning i went to kinda hard off the light and i hear a light clunking noise from the front passanger side
then i did some heavy braking to see if i heard it agian and the wheel sounded like it was kinda shaking
when i got to work i turned the wheels out and get a quick look and the both sides have new CV boots but i also noticed that the front passanger side tire was missing the wheel weight
so i cranked it all the way to one side and took off to see if i heard the noise agian but no noise
then i tried to reverse with the wheel still cranked and no noise
these are the only basic check i know how to do with out actaully remving the wheel and CV boot, is there any other checks i can to ??
do i have a bad CV joint or is it all due to my tire missing the wheel weight ??
edit: how hard is it to change a CV joint
if its the CV joint i plan to change both fronts but should i change the rear ones to or no ??

Well, if it is a CV joint then you'll hear the noise when the car is in motion and you're turning. So, take a drive and turn both left and right to see if you can hear the noise again. Also, it usually makes a clicking noise.
if it only does it turning one direction it could be a cv joint.
also, just a thought, could it be a motor mount, cause if it was the motor could be shifting and making that clunking noise.
