00 Civic EX - Engine misfiring, blinking CEL, code P0301, pending code P1399
This is an FYI post about a problem I had today and what the solution was.
Blinking CEL = misfiring severe enough to damage the catalytic converter
P1399 = generic random misfire code
P0301 = misfire in cylinder 1
Solution --> Replaced 4 1/2 year-old lifetime warranty O'Reilly spark plug wires.
Moral of this story - Just buy plug wires for your Civic from Honda to avoid silly car problems.
