Default 91 civic wont start randomly, wont turn over d15 motor

My ef randomly wont start. No clicking or turning over. But it will bombstart. This happened yesterday but started fine 5-6 times after. on my way home I noticed the instrument lights dimming as if I were constantly adjusting the brightness from med to high. It also did not start today but after 3 tries of turning the key ( I was ready to bomb start it again), it started up fine. Ive had this car for 6 yrs and never had an issue. I have not done any work to it recently. No loss in power when driving. Please help.

ive never bombstarted a car before, sounds like fun though.

if bombstart means pushstart it might be your starter or clutch switch or ignition.

What is the voltage of your battery when running and when it wont start?

yes its sound like an almost dead battery, but the car will run well when it is started because alternator is good.

if you have access to a good battery, i would try it

Instrument - if it continues not to start I might have to bomb it lol

Whited - I didn't check voltage when it wouldn't start, I didn't have a multimeter on me...it's only not started on twice in the last 4 days and that's it in the 7 yrs I've had the car. I'll check the voltage tomorrow

Project ef - I will take it to lordco and use their battery tester tomorrow
