Ok guys I wanna convert my cd5(94 accord) rear(trunk n lights) to a cd7(96-97 accord) rear! Will it be a direct fit or will I have to fabricate anything? I have n lx n want to convert to ex so I have a spoiler! I know I'll have to wire on the spoiler light n trunk lights but I was wondering if any of you have done it n how hard is it? I already found a trunk(minus lights) at the junk yard but haven't measured anything. TIA for the advice/help!

 

Cd5 is sedan. Cd7 is coupe. Nothing to do with years. Fabrication and metal skills are involved, it's not as easy as just a trunk and taillight swap as the opening and hinges are different . Just buy a 96 or 97, all the minor changes add up to a lot. Spoiler was an option on any model. Please search and read the faq.

 

Hinges are different, and instead of the struts to support the trunk lid there are laterally mounted springs just under the rear window. Also, trunk lock is different. And there are two shapes of spoiler.
