so im helpin out a guy on facebook (lol) he just got a DX hatch with a D15B2 block, but it obviously has a Vtec head and mpfi swap, after checking the car has a 96+ ex ecu and NO conversion harness... the two round plugs for the original harness under the hood are also un hooked.

im confused and have no idea how the car is running. though it is not running right.

his CEL doesnt even light up when you turn the switch,

how can he check his CEL codes? doubt there is a obd2 data port hidden under the dash

pull the cluster out and fix the cel light, its probably cut.

previous owner mustve spliced the wiring directly...you dont have to use a conversion harness if you dont want to buy one.
