Default Another nasty hatch from Houston Texas build

Picked up a hatch after letting the infamous ef get scrapped

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/sh-fts-massive-build-thread-car-history-massive-picture-thread-56k-go-home-2635532/

Anyways, a little about the car:
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THIS CAR: I got it in a trade for some rods and pistons :D
-1992 Honda Civic (cx i believe, no fender trim) hatch back. originally a manual car
-Black(i plan on keeping it that color too)
-Is a rolling shell when i got it
-has a pretty dam good body with literally zero dents in it(maybe one or 2 small ones on the main body, the hood is another story)
-no seats
-previous owner took all the wire loom off the chassis harness in the engine bay for a tuck. well that was at least a start for me to finish what he intended to do. thank god no wires were cut. all the plugs are still there too.
-came with si tail lights. brand new
-had stock front end
-sold the bumper
-will be scrapping the hood and replacing with another oem
-car will be painted after i get it running
-has dash, front carpet, door panels, seat belts and all the plastics. no rear carpet or the seats. not too sure if i want to keep the seats or not.

What I have so far for the motor:
-ls bottom end(stock bore, rehoned)
-eagle rods(cleaned up and silicone blasted by me)
-srp pistons( cleaned and silicone blasted by me)
-new piston rings(installed and gaped by me, checked by my shop where i did it)
-new std. size bearings
-micro polished and balanced crank, new ball bearings installed and journals cleaned by me
-moroso 5.5 oil pan with race pickup and baffling in the pan
-arp head studs
-arp main studs for gsr girdle(ill get into more detail about that later)
-ATI Fluidampr
-Custom Top mount manifold(you'll probably flip **** when you see it)
-airesearch/garrett turbo(.45 compressor/1.52 hot side...ya ya i know)
-intercooler about 3.5 or 4" thick~
-greddy type s AUTHENTIC BOV
-Turbonetics waste gate
-Siemens pencil style injectors(need to confirm if peak and hold or saturated)
-aem fuel rail
-HUGE *** fuel filter i got from ipg parts a year or two ago
-fuel regulator
-toda cam gears
-blox type c cams...a little about these cams, i got them on a deal for 140 bucks thinking they were tuner 1's but called blox and confirmed they were type c's pretty gnarly steal of a deal imho
-gsr head thats currently on my daily that will be adapted to this motor. had the head rebuilt with new guides, seals and had the seats cleaned and checked for proper seating.
-Edelbrock victor x intake manifold thats port matched(by me) to a 70mm Blox throttle body
-Omnipower map sensor
-Toda flywheel
-oem style head gasket from golden eagle(multi-layer)
-vented valve cover with -10 an fittings
-breather box with 2" breather filters
-itr oil cooler
-fittings for the breather box to the back of the block
-sammich plate for clean oil to turbo
-"T" fitting for oil flow to head

A little taste of what is to come. i also chose this color because of the color combo i want

Transmission:
custom mixture of gears

Cosmetic upgrades I have for the car thus far:
-15x8 jmags
-Replaced oem hatch wing
-Pwjdm for lights
-Pwjdm black housing lights
-Hids
-City lights
-Pwjdm amber corners
-Pwjdm fender turn sigmals
-If I remember correctly, a itr style lip for the front
-Nrg hub
-Nrg quick release
-Nardi woodgrain

what i plan on getting for the exterior soon:
-difuser
-new windshield(oem or race plastics cannot make up my mind)

whats being considered for the interior:
roll cage
aftermarket seats
rear carpet

a lot of other misc **** needs to still be bought for the motor such as oil pump and water pump. the essential ****. and then tuning software needs to be purchased as well. suspension is also being looked into as well as slicks, skinnys, braking, exhaust components(e cut out etc).

ive had the car since october and have YET to do anything to the car, except collect parts for it. so if i do not update constantly, please be patient. this is not the only car i am building, and i work a full time job to fund these projects.

You should do a side-exit exhaust with a fart can. That way people will think you've gone ricer and will try to race for an easy kill, only to be killed hard. Plus, side exit fartcan exhaust is just the most badass thing you could do to a car.

Yay replies! Lol.

Im keeping a full exhaust for now. Once its time to take the car to the track ill take the exhaust off.

As for the block. That's just the block. The head and trans are the same color :D

How's the dark side feel? EF civics are the best! Can't believe you didn't pick another one up.

But I am glad you are making another project civic.

I have access to one but i didn't wanna bother with it. I would have ended up converting the entire car to obd1. Plus parts are hard to track down for those cars these days.

Feels good lol.

I was enjoying it until I saw 15x8 Jmags. I think you can do better than that.

picked this up today (apexi gt spec full exhaust kit)
i got this off of a mechanic who works for a friend of mine. msrp on this bad mother****** is 1200 bucks.

i traded a set of seats and got this PLUS a hundred bucks. not a bad deal in my opinion. there are a few SMALL knicks in the entire system, other than that it sat collecting dust, it was only used for 2 weeks and then never again...until now

I bet you had fun doing all that masking on the block and head! It was a pita when I did mine. Looking good though! I want to see how the cage fits when you get it in. Been thinking about getting a pre-fabed one myself.

Ill post pics/video of the process when i start on it. I may or may not do it this weekend. For the last week or so, I've been on the hunt for a welder but turns out the welder a friend of mine had( thought it didn't have enough amps to keep up) actually met the criteria the instructions suggested.

Now i just need some free time. I got kinda fucked into working Sunday and then we have Monday off. So its kind of a pain in the *** to throw a work day into my 3 day weekend. Really fucked up in my opinion.
