Cams in a H22 Type S, What's the best one's
This is my 1st time dealing wit a H22 motor. Im wondering whats a good set of cams for a H22 Type S motor. I want throw some cams in but i dont know which ones to buy...need help
Different cams are good for different things. First off, this is the EJ section, and no EJ came stock with an H22. Second off, your question is entirely too open-ended.
Reason for switch cams is lil more power. My intent for the engine is reliability wit alil go power, mods is just the basic bolt on. Intake Manifold, Throttle Body, Cold Air Inatke, Header, Exhaust, Balance Shaft Delet.

For cams on a mild street car, I would suggest either do a set of Skunk2 Tuner 1 or 2, or send a pm to DDTech on here, and ask him about the cams he is working on for the H engines.
I have the Skunk2 Pro 1 cams on my engine, and even with the extra size and compression on my engine, they do not make for an ideal streetable car, so on a closer to stock engine I can see them being a pain when idling, drivng in light traffic etc frequently, but that is just my take on streetablility.
So far as balance shafts, there are hundreds if not thousands of H22 engines running around with the belts gone or shafts deleted, and I have only ever heard of 2-3 people who decided to put them back into use after disabling them. I have them deleted in both my big engine, and my backup stock H22A, which I daily drove for a few years, and then had occasional use and track use for the next 5-6 years until I pulled it for the new engine.

Zing.
I make some pretty killer H cams..
.. Camshaft profiles design a lot on in/outs of air flow in the motor as well as a few other things. The pro1's are a decent cam, but more or so, guys lose a lot of midrange because of a few reasons, mostly due to cams not being properly degreed or tuned, in every aspect most aftermarket cams will require as such.

ive had my prelude for about 2 years. upgraded the cams to skunk 2 pro series 2. Car is still just as reliable. Type S cams are not too much of an upgrade. Id go skunk 2,
