Default 2.5 donut flange advice needed

i have a 88 si with the original d16 header, i bought an aftermarket 2.5 exhaust that was set up to run straight to a header. it has a 2.5 female donut accepting flange on it. i assume the stock donut gasket set up is too small to work. does anyone know where i can get a 2.5 male donut flange and gasket to weld onto the stock header?

Any muffler shop should should have those flanges and donut gaskets.

^ I think that's what Freemananana meant to say.

If you can't find them at your local muffler shop, you can find the parts on eBay. Where in NY are you located?

Not sure if there's a local performance shop close to you, but I know many shops in NY Metro area have begun to stock exhaust fabrication parts. If you're looking for flanges, you might want to give them a try.

Otherwise if you can wait for shipping, rockauto and previously mentioned eBay can be of help.

what "stock header" are you using? the original crx one???

why would you even want to use that? the original exhaust manifold is the single most restricting part of the engine, replacing that will open up the engine more than anything. use either any new Z6 or Y8 exhaust manifold, or even an ebay header and youll find its way better than trying to make the original manifold work.

dont waste your time.

This is being done to get the car running being there was no exhaust when i purchased it. there is zero performance to be to had in reality anyway, 85 vs 90whp won't matter as I've been used to driving 400+ hp for a while now. The car is getting a JDM GSR in the summer anyway and boost after that. This is just to no longer run open header lol.

Try Behrents Performance Warehouse in Florida, NY. They have ALOT there, not everything' but probably enough to get you out of the woods. Made up trip up there when i was looking for some parts to complete my turbo build. It's like Wal-Mart for car stuff haha
