Grip tape for your pedals = no more slips
I was reading a post a while back about on one of the forums about using skateboard grip tape for more pedal grip. So I applied some on my pedals:

Tried and tested in the rain today...no slips at all! They feel like Mugen pedals, without having to be the stock size (and the outrageous price). It takes some getting used to because your foot stays in position. Most of the time, I'd unknowingly slide my foot around the pedals while driving.
This is a nice, cheap mod overall...especially if you find your foot slipping off the clutch after walking around in the rain or after washing the car.

Why, a skateshop, of course.
Forgot to thank Max for driving all the way to the shop to split it three ways. Thanks, homie.

That is def. a good idea, I might have to look into that. Nothing is worse then stalling just cause your foot slipped off the clutch due to being wet.
I am pretty sure you can get the grind tape in different colors too, to match your car but anything other than black would probably get dirty real quick.

we actually do this to our racecars--not only on the pedals themselves, but also underneath the driver's heels in the footbox.
I work at a surf and skate shop. Hahha, But I know when grip tape gets when it goes back doesn't it ?
Taking orders for grip tape!! One sheet should cover about 9 pedals.
Who's w/ me !

Reason I didn't buy pedals was because of the slippage problem. I'm gonna get some now and do the grip tape, hopefully helps me with my heel and toe!!
I hate the look of those aftermarket pedals.
Why dont you just take the oem rubber cover off the pedal and aply the tape to the bare metal. It would probably look better than those things.

OEM pedals w/o covers would be tiny, making heel-toeing nearly impossible. However I prefer just to leave the OEM covers in place, because they're not so big and I can stretch out my feet underneath them while cruising on a road trip.
I like the OEM pedels too. The only aftermarket I would buy are Sparco or Honda Acesss.

That's true. But so far, I haven't had any problems with blipping...due mostly in part to the "ungripped" space on the gas pedal.
