Default Diff blew up!

Hi Guys, I recently bought a 94 Accord EX with a manual trans. Well, a few days ago while turning, I hear a loudbang and the car wouldnt move under power so I coasted to a stop and noticed a trail of trans fluid behind me! Pull the car into where I work (steel fab shop) and put the car on a lift, then I notice a huge hole in the case where the diff is. What could've caused this? I don't rag on my cars or drive aggressively at all. The car felt normal right up until the boom.

Thanks for any input guys,

Romeo

A couple of the B series (I assume) transmissions have a reportedly weaker diff housing. Maybe you got one of the bad ones.
Can't tell from the lack of info.

There are easy to find trans charts on the subject that identify the troubled units by year and number.

Dude, we can't help you with anything unless you give us more information on your vehicle.
