Design Merge collector for TwinScroll EVO
Hi there! pretty sure this would help to other ones and i hope to help it to me too..
well i wasted a lot of tubes today trying to get the best angle for make merge collector...tried with CAD and got that 20 degress will works good..i was wondering what angle do you use for make these..i know would be needed to port a bit for fit with these very weird twinscroll...
what do you think?

Using sch10 1.5

Using sch10 1.5
Tried today but finally looks like i need more clearance still..im designing another merge for test it tomorrow.. noticed too that making a replacement Evo manifold using 1.5sch10 will be too tight! 1 1/4 would be easier to build!

tested it today and definitely it's a pain to buil this replacement using 1.5".. it's needed tight radius elbows also i have a problem with one hole, bolt doesnt insert , that could be solved with any problem i think ,the big problem is with 3 port.., monday i will call to supplier and ask for 1.25" sch10 pipe, now i get why almost everything build replacement in that size..here some pictures.. i was thinking even to make a pie cuts but pretty sure it will not fits properly..

i tried to make that runner in the other side but it's needed tight elbows..

this is what i made so far..really hard using long radius elbow..i hope this days a local supplier can sell tighr radious elbows but would be for next manifols already! got too 1.25sch10 for make anothers..

What flow do you use for backpurge?

That doesn't look that bad.
Your fixture doesn't look that solid to be building manifolds off of though. I did that once early on and it shifted angle just a hair and threw everything off. Not trying to be critical, just helpful if you are building it to use existing downstream parts.

what you means with "fixture"?
more pictures, need to get better fitting yet and more works, definitelly this is a really hard manifold to build with long radious....
not finish yet..also i will have to port it once everything is cleaned and welded.

P.S i have to fabricate too tube for replace upper radiator hose.

this is how 1.25 looks like.. (a bit easy).

Found a supplier with some pipes short radius 1.5" 90 degrees, that's the way to do a 1.5 replacement evo manifold!. i ordered some pipes to stock these here.
i was testing my back purge setup.. the key is how good you bevel pipes for get best penetration, also i need to test more different flow for back purge..

Hope this help
