Default ISO lower spark plug seals as well as Distributor gasket

96 Accord sedan 2.2 non vtec F22

So the leaking spark plug seals are getting worse , causing other gaskets to leak, oil to pour into spark plug tubes as well as leaking down the head under th eintake manifold. I also think oils leaking through the Intake Manifold gasket as well if thats possible? Also where the distributor bolts to the head im starting to see leakage there as well. SO! While searchign ebay i came across a gasket kit for my motor. Clearly there not automotive enthusiasts because they canouldnt provide an answer to my questions

Heres the message i sent:

Im curious if the LOWER spark plug tube seals(not the uppers that press into the underside of the valve cover) as well as the distributor seal where it bolts to the head (not the o ring for the cap) are included in this kit. Looking forward to your reply so i may purchase as quickly as possible

Anndd heres there answer. *smh*

That kit will not have the lower tube seals as it is for the F22B1, 2.2L VTEC that does not have lower tube seals only the uppers.

If the ebay seller can't take the time to tell you what is included in the kit I would go somewhere else. What are the 25 rubber parts?

http://www.hondapartsdeals.com or rockauto probably carry a kit that would better suit your needs.

Unless the oil is overflowing and coming up around the spark plug wires I don't think the tube seals are leaking oil under the intake manifold. Sounds like you need a valve cover gasket kit.

Honda part numbers;

Valve cover gasket kit
12030-PT0-000

Spark plug Lower o-ring seals
91301-PT0-003

Distributor O-ring

To answer your question, yessir the spark plug boots are covered in oil everytime i pull them so i have no doubts other gaskets have been affectee by this. But thank you for the suggestions and the provided part numbers. Ill go check out the sites you provided now. Once again thank you for your input and time to reply

I see those are OEM part numbers correct? I'm not finding them as cross reference numbers in any of the listings on eBay for claimed OEM Honda parts. Is it possible there are alternative numbers? Or simply these parts they claim are OEM simply aren't.

Do you have a Honda dealership handy to you? If you do I would suggest calling them or dropping in and seeing how much they want for the parts. I have found that in recent years the parts departments at local car dealerships are actually competitive with their pricing. Unless you are looking buy the cheaper stuff, then I'm sorry I'll be of no further help as I don't know their part numbers for cross reference.

eBay is hit and miss when it comes to actually buying OEM genuine Honda parts. Most of the retailers on ebay will be selling cheaper OEM replacement parts not the genuine article. Most times they are hit and miss on what type of quality you are going to get. Unless they list the brand names of the parts. Nippon, Nippon Denso, TEC, Hitachi, Stone, NOK, Otsuka, or Ishino to name a few. Those are a few original equipment manufacturers (OEM) of Honda parts.

You can't really rely on the feedback left on ebay ether. 9 times out of 10 people will leave feedback based upon how quickly the item shipped or how it looks. Most times they haven't even installed the parts before they leave feedback. You don't get to post 2 months later when the gasket fails and oil leaks start appearing again ether.
