I changed my lower control arms and oil/filter. Drove home everything was fine and smooth from my mom's place an hr and a half away. Then, i get into my apartment complex trying to make a turn and scraaape over a speed bump (it's nothing new). Wasn't going fast either. Then car started sounding like I was running a straight pipe or no muffler. Now car is loud upon start up and when I accelerate, and its coming from the motor area. Car also smells like gas. Exhaust leak? Yes, i know... a lot of people are telling me to lift the car up to check... that would be on my first to do list, but i can't do any car work at the apartment complex i live in and i want to see if anyone can help me figure his out and i could do my research before i end up throwing cash around at a shop.

bet you the bolts busted at the cat cuz they get super rusty. anyting dragging?

you had time to take a video but couldn't take 2 seconds to look under the car? it should be obvious even with the car on the ground.

 

Like the previous posts state. You know what you did to your car already. Only thing left to do is jack the car up and take a look at the damage.

my car is low, i can't just look under it either. i was hoping if people could judge by sound.

Just asking if you guys suspect its a symptom for exhaust leaks.
