I hope I put this in the right place. My wife bought this car on the cheap. She test drove it 2 months ago. But didn't decide to buy until a couple days ago. Former owner hasn't cranked or driven since the test drive 2 months ago. I changed the fuel filter as it looked like coffee coming from it. My fear is the gas has aged to the point it has stuck the valves. New plugs, checked timing, checked for proper spark from distributor. Will not crank and if it happens to combust on a cylinder, it backfires through intake. Could my fear of 2 month old gas be the culprit? Thinking of checking throttle body and valves, but man I hate to pull the head.
