My honda has had a jumpy idle for awhile now but today it was dropping down lower than normal and then stalled.. No when i start it there is a knocking noise coming from the motor when i start it.. Could the timing be off now and what would cause the noise?

I have 133k miles

 

I doubt it's a timing issue

 

I hope not im having a hard time figuring this out.. I know there are alot of possibilties when it comes to rough idles and stalling but the engine knocking noise is what scares me

 

Plugs up to date?

Any stored codes or recent work done to the car?

 

Plugs were changed about 10k miles ago.. I did a oil change on it the day before it started doing that.. I did switch from conventional oil to motorcraft 5w20.. I changed the oil and filter thinking it was maybe a bad oil filter but its still doing it.. Except now its smoking after i let it run for more than a min

 

Also its NOT throwing any codes
