Icon2 D16y5 head on a d16y8 block????

Would this work?? how easy would it be take do, i have a d16y8 block with a d16y7 head right now on a 1996 honda civic dx

The d16y5 head is crap because of the 12 valve lean burn. Also you will need a wideband o2 and a hx ecu. I say find a better vtec head.

Use the y5/y8 manifold on the y7 head if your not already. If It was me I would sell the hx head and find me a ex one. To answer your original question yes you can use the hx head on the ex block.
