I have 2 ODB1 codes placing the car into limp mode, does it need viagra too?

I have a 1995 accord v6 non vtec engine. I have ODB1 code 8 and 9 repeatedly placing the car into limp mode after each reset. The only recent maintenance was replacing the metal pipe that connects the water pump to the thermostat housing which of course involved removing the intake and thermostat housing?? Did I miss something on the distributor since it is where the TDC and #1 position sensor location is?
Any ideas??????

The wires could have pulled out of the connectors or perhaps the connector is not completely connected if you disconnected it when you did the maintenance.
