Hey guys, my girlfriend just got an rsx, I myself used to have a 2003 rsx type s turbo and never encountered this problem: basically when she turns her car on the water temp guage on the dash sometimes doesn't work, sometimes it does. When it doesn't work, it sits below the C like the car is off, when it decides to work it goes up on the guage about let's say 25-30% on the dial meaning it looks like it running cold. Heat blows as hot as ***** so I don't think it's the thermostat stuck closed, both radiator hoses feels hot to the touch, what I'm thinking is the clip might be loose or the wiring is iffy on that ECT sensor, but don't know where it exactly is, any help is appreciated thanks

 

The sensor is on the bottom of the radiator next to the lower hose.
