I have a 94 accord ex and I have been having accelerating issues. plain and simple my car has lost its *****. sad.. but true. when I go to accelerate it sounds like its not getting enough power or something. I have completely cleaned the throttle body and the IAC valve, replaced my air filter and im on to replacing my fuel filter and pump to see if it will help. Im also contemplating cleaning my shift solenoid to see if that will make a difference. I think it might be my v tec solenoid but im just trying to hit it from all angles. im a bit in between a rock and a hard spot with this one. any info or possibilities would be great.

 

Has it lost acceleration through the entire rpm range? The VTEC solenoid wouldn't come into play unless it "lost its *****" once it got into VTEC range.

Barring any codes I would first suspect an exhaust restriction (bad catalytic converter) then a fuel delivery problem (pump or filter).

Fuel pressure should be around 40-45 psi.
