Default Suspension Advice

Whats up guys new to the site and Hondas. Just bought a 94 ex coupe 5spd a couple days ago. Let me start off by saying that I am far from a mechanic. I can do basic things for now and am hoping to learn more. So let me make the question simple and then ill explain more. I pretty much want my car to sit like either of the ones ill post on this post. I already have Koni/Gc on the way. My front tires are currently scrapping when I turn and I hate it! I don't want my tires scraping. This car will be my DD. What else do you guys suggest I do suspension wise? Looking into LCA's but havnt decided on which ones yet. I want to do this right the first time and I can wait to save money up so im not going cheap. Motor is stock. Plan on doing suspension, interior, rims+tires (Maybe 949 Racing wheels) , then paint and swap. Thanks for the help. And yes I did read the stickys and other posts. Thanks for the help.

My coupe!

Your tires are scraping because your car is too low.
You are probably rubbing through the inner fender liners up front and maybe even rubbing tires on the fender lips...

And it looks like you want to go lower?!

You can remove the fender splash guards and roll the lips of the fenders for more clearance.

What size tires so you have?

How bad is the ride quality currently?

You could run 195/50/15's to get a little more clearance.

With koni / gc combo on your car, and those si wheels with no spacers, you will want gc extended top hats and a camber kit front and rear IMO.
Some people just deal with the inner tire wear and say camber kits aren't necessary.

I almost bought the two front top hats but wasn't sure if I would need it them. Ride quality is horrible right now the guy I bought it from said the rear springs are cut and he replaced the front two and said they were too soft. The car is really bouncy on highway and any little bump sounds horribly like damn car is bottoming out or something lol. If I was to try to get the same look of the green coupe with same rims and tires do you think tires would still rub even with extended top hats and camber kit?

What spring rates are the GC?

Lower control arms are just for bling, unless they are needed for a special sway bar setup.

If you're looking for a low ride height I hope those spring rates are in the 500 in/lb range.

Yea ideally for those Gc you'll want at least 500 front 350 rear in that ball park. Then you'll be able to tune your damper in properly. Especially if your "dumped". Roll the fenders as well, I personally like 205 50 15s then fit inside the wheel wheel just enough.

The si wheels are going to rub when it's that low. They are 15x6 +45. The spring / shocks you ordered will fix most of the "broken" suspension feel your getting right now. There's still decent chance your going to rub on the inner fender liner and possibly the fender lips if you want to go as low as the green coupe. Better offset wheels will help a lot ( 15x7 with 30ish offset or 15x8 with 20ish offset)

You will need extended top hats if you want to go 3 inches or so lower than factory. This will keep your konis from bottoming out internally. Fortunately konis don't suffer from being outside their "ideal" travel. If they aren't maxxed out you should be fine.

Camber kits... May be needed, it really depends on what wheels you want to use. You probably won't need on with the si wheels. You might need one with 15x7 and you will almost certainly need one with 15x8's. remember too that toe will destroy your tires, not excessive camber

Forgot to ad... It's going to be easier to get your ideal fitment if you go with a higher offset wheel and the use spacers to get your desired look.15x7 +35 or so with a 205/50r15 would be a decent starting point
