Hey there! Long time lurker, first time poster.

Im looking to do some upgrading on my Civic's sound system. All of my speakers are stock. Theyve been getting somewhat staticy. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction. I want to upgrade them and I also just bought some subwoofers from a friend.

Im pretty sure the front two speakers are 6.5 and the rear two are 6x9's. Is that correct? and if so, I had no earthly idea about the required components needed to install them. I have a buddy who works at a shop whos capable of doing the installation but Im trying to purchase all the materials on my own and then let him do the labor.

TL;DR Where can I buy some affordable speakers and are there other components I need to acquire before they can be installed?

 

Amazon. Anything 2 or 3 way with a non-paper cone will work fine and be an upgrade.

 

Personally I like anything Pioneer or Sony. Just try and find some two way speakers for the front and three ways for the back. I would also see if your buddy could do something about the front speakers. Maybe put some dynomat behind them. The front doors lose allot of speaker sound.

 

Who would have thought, there's an Audio/Security/Video section! Even then, you've failed at telling us the most important thing: Budget.

 

Someone gave me used s2000 speakers and that's what I used.

 

Pioneer has a nice inexpensive set of 6.5" round speakers that fit perfectly. They're a shallow basket design and fit exactly like the originals.
