My em1 didn't have a lip on it. Wondering if I should go to honda and get the lip there in black or if the password jdm type r lip is the same as the oem one. Lmk thx.

oem fits properly! That aftermarket crap, no where near the fitment the quality. People buy Honda's because they are made of quality parts, don't put crap on it

That first molding is nasty! Icb has them for 600 bucks. I want it so bad, but i dont know if i would spend that much on the lip lol. How much lower is the lip compared to side skirts?

OP, how much do you care about the lip? If you want to spend the money on a real lip just to say you have a real one, thats cool. You can get a ebay one for like 50 bucks, but you will have people saying its a fake and other ****..do what you feel is right to you man.

I'm just curious what you consider a lot of money. I have $1000+ in the Mugen lip for my TSX. I would not consider 280 for an OEM lip a lot by comparison.

Get the OEM lip. Its worth it. You can totally tell the difference in quality between an oem lip and unpainted aftermarket lip. I'm pretty sure OEM lip can be ordered already painted too.

 

Yea that's what I'm gonna end up doing. Found it on eBay for like 309 chipped or sumn. Guess it's a dealer that sells em thru eBay. I even asked my buddy to check for me since he's a honda tech.

Nice can I ask from who on eBay. I've seen dealers who have accounts on eBay selling oem parts and saw that they sell the blue red and black em1 lips. Want mine black

 

It was $622 + shipping. Large box from Wisconsin to South Carolina. It was then $250 to paint it correctly. Plus in 2008, it was one of the few real Mugen Aero lips for the TSX in the US. Now there are a few more.

 

If your car isnt slammed, get OEM. Thats the nicest lip IMO. If you are slammed and might f*ck your lip up, get a replica...I did, and it didnt bother me one bit
