Ladies and Gents, my daily is a 1998 Honda Accord LX Automatic 4dr with a SOI-IC 16-Valve 4-Cyl.VTEC, obviously.

I've done builds from bolt on to turbo set-ups and in no way am I trying to do that on this one. I'm looking to get some spunk into this grocery getter without going nuts. It's time for a tune-up so upgraded parts are going in and was wondering what you guys are recommending when it comes to no-modifying needing upgrades (i.e. what plugs, wire, cap, rotor, drop in air filter etc.) as well as any addition ideas you have that can give me something to put a smurk on my face from time to time.

Normal bolt-ons themselves aren't even being done, no lowering suspension, no intake tubing replacements, no exhaust piping changes (it does need a cat though so if you can throw me ideas about something that won't change the sound one bit I'd be happy with it).

So you want upgrade suggestions but don't want to swap out parts? I don't quite understand, maybe I'm reading your post wrong? If you want replacement part suggestions, I always stick to Honda Genuine parts.

 

Really just looking for replacement recommendations. Plugs, wires, cap, drop in filter, & I already have to replace the cat so if there's a higher performing yet stock sounding cat to go with I'm looking for suggestions.
