Just got a 95 civic 5speed that was grandma driven saying that you know the car is all stock. The 1st thing I want to do is to drop it a few inches. I've noticed there's a lot more options in the honda world to choose from and I'd like to know your opinion. What is the best thing to do brand and all to lower the civic?

 

You should work on security first, i.e., alarm, low jack, kill switches, etc. That, and a tune up. Fuel filter, spark plugs, etc. For suspension, there are really only three set ups that are repeatedly brought up for being quality setups.

In order of price from least to most expensive:
Progress CS-IIs
Koni Yellow Shocks/Ground Control Coilovers
AMR coilovers

You should also look though different sections of the forum, there is a lot of good information, especially the stickies in the suspension section

What will the car be used for? Just daily drive? Auto-X? Road Racing? Drag strip? Just lowering it for the "stance look to show off to the "homies?"

 

I think he just wants to lower it. At most, I would recommend a koni/gc combo. That way you have adjustable damping and height...and you can get different spring rates as you go, if you want to.

If you JUST want to street drive it, something like Eibach pro kit with koni STR-T shocks would be great. Look online for images of cars lowered on certain brands of springs.
