Default vinyl wrap headache

so i ordered pearl white vinyl wrap to start wrapping the hood but

heres my problem

the car clear coat is peeling and once i sand itwodn it will bleed through different color because there will be some grey primer spots. pearl white is kinda transparent

so to lay the viny i have to paint it anyway...

and both of my cars are like that.

is there any kind of pain i can spray as a basecoat to be under the vinyl wrap that will not peel off later or bubble?

what imean is when i sand the car down there will be primer thats different from basecoat and i really dont want to spend money painting it so i can spend more money vinyl wrapping it. that makes no sense.

i really want to wrap it in pearl white buti dont know whats the best way to do this

there are white primers out there.. Get a qt of white epoxy and brush or gun it on. I would make sure you can go over primer to start with.

i work for a company that wraps vehicles and i asked the install guys about it then wrapped my white rsx in matte white last fall. vinyl should not let the body paint/primer show through but if you want to take the extra step for peace of mind then spray it with a normal white rattle can, you can lay vinyl on primer and bare paint w/o clear but removal will suck... i lines the very edge of my bumpers with a little can of duplicolor paint from autozone (basicly pin-striped the edges) so that when i heated and stretched the vinyl it wouldnt start to peel years down the road on me (the more you heat and stretch it the thinner it becomes and will want to peel in harsh curves/corners)... hope this helps you out a little bit with your question and possibly with the prep/install, hope all goes well

how about applying it over rattle can. i will have to apply and peel it in few spots probably.
i have a feeling the rattlecan wont hold up when peeling the vinyl
