2000 Accord Coupe engine swap...?
I have a 2000 Accord coupe with a cracked block. I also picked up a F22B1 VTEC a few months back that came out of a running vehicle. It was free so I couldnt pass it up. I just recently found out my block is cracked and was wondering if the F22B1 would bolt up? Would I need anything to make it work?
This vehicle is my/was my daily driver and not looking to do any specific upgrades. Gas milage is all I am worried about and of course a reliable/safe/legal running vehicle!
Would I need to swap or keep the newer ECM, motor mounts,etc... Will the transmission recieve/accept the swap? Any help would be greatly appriacted.

Thank you for the tips. Proper care will save money in long term. Generally I don’t learn article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very compelled me to take a look at and do so!
now that the jokes are out of the way, on with the tech. The F22B1 should bolt up without trouble. since you already have it, compare the wiring harnesses for any difference, especially the connectors that plug into the chassis harness. if it comes to it, you should be able to swap anything from the current F23 to the F22B1 to get it into the car. for instance the driver's side motor mount may be a bit different, the exsisting intake manifold may be better or something like that.
What year is the F22B1? Depending on whether or not it is 94-95 OBD1 or 96-97 OBD2 will also make a difference. The TDC & CKP sensors are located in different locations
Also you will want to keep your F23 intake manifold and exhaust manifold. This will save you from having to do any sort of IACV & FITV to Rotary air control valve conversion and O2 wire hacking.
Other than that the block will physically bolt up to the trans and chassis using your OEM F23 mounts.

Look to see where the CKP and TDC are located on your block, then google image and see what block you have. Or post pics and someone will chime in.
