I have a set of OEM speakers at home I can measure for you, but regardless, they are so small you will need to cut for almost every aftermarket speaker.
Some people cringe when you say cut, but honestly you just need to trim away some plastic. You can still use the same mounting holes (usually) and when you are done the speaker grill will pop back on and look factory.
I mounted as set of Memphis components and I had to cut out the door panel plastic and some door metal, but most coaxials should fit with a minimal amount of material removed.

OEM are 6.5 but I doubt after market 6.5 speakers will fit. I had this issue. You'll have to "cut" away some plastic. I have a 2000 si and I had to go with 5.25 components. It might be difficult to put on the cover with coaxial speakers. I have MB Quarts powered with a Alpine power pack.
The only aftermarket 6.5's I was able to get to fit in my 99 civic were some entry level pioneer's originally bought alpine's but I wasn't in the mood to start cutting. Not cause I'm picky it just looks bad for who ever gets the car next imo, pioneer made the original OEM speakers anyway.

He is right, the entry level pioneers will fit.
If you want a beefer speaker though all the cutting is underneath the cover, cant tell once you put the cover back on
