Never had. I assume you can retrofit some of those things into your car with a lot of work. I did quite a bit of this when I was working on my 74 beetle. It just depends on how much time you have to dedicate to figuring it out. I'm sure it isn't something people do all the time. You have a 1986 Honda, right? Just guessing based on the sig. Might be better to go to the pre-88 subforum and try there.
I can fix most 88-91 B "ICU" modules, with the intermittant wiper funtion. After 25 years they are plagued by cold solder joints and sometimes even burnt traces. Using a solder sucker, remove old solder from questionable joints and reflow with 60/40 rosin core leaded solder. Works 85% of the time.
I have an 86 si and a 91 si. The 86 works fine. Its the 91 that is givi g me fits with the wipers and door chime. Ok. So I'm going to have to repair it like my main Relay. Open it up and go to town. Thanks.
