I hope everyone is having a good holiday season!

Lately, I've been noticing a sound from my engine. It sounds like valve lash to me. I've listened to many different videos, and I can't seem to find something close.

The compression tests read fine... at 185 - 187- 190 - 186

Thoughts?

id run through the valves on it. by the looks of it someones prob never done it.

 

Sticky LMA's can do that to in which case no harm is being done it's just irritating to hear my 94 b18c1 does it really bad but it just see's the track so I haven't bother replacing it yet.

 

I have the same problem... I adjusted the valves and it still makes the same noise

 

Interesting.. I never thought that it might be the LMA's. I did the valve adjustment about 5,000 miles ago, but i'll be honest.. I didn't inspect the LMA's.

What would your suggestion be to clean them if they are sticky?

 

it's the spring that goes it's just worn out you can't really "fix them". they are relatively cheap from Honda if you want to replace them. if you just did it 5K miles ago I'd be really surprised if it was out of spec.
