New Del Sol owner living vicariously through my dad.
Hello,
My Dad just bought a 1994 Del Sol with a B18C1 in it. We used to build Honda's for some cheap thrills when I lived at home. I am now out on my own and live in Michigan. He lives in Colorado and will definitely need some help with this car. Since he is not well versed in the forum world I have been assigned to take care of this.
We have built a couple of B18b1 crx's and integra's but have never worked on a VTEC. I did some looking around and this forum seems to be known for having the best information.
Here's the ad for the car.
1994 del sol VTEC model with B18C1 swap, p72 ECU with b16 5speed transmission. Body has 240k miles, engine has 80k miles with new timing belt, tensioner, water pump. New head gasket, valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, oil pan gasket, front and rear main seals, cam seals, new VTEC solenoid gaskets, new spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. New Exedy clutch with Fidanza light weight flywheel. Full 2 1/2 inch exhaust. Has a Ebay short ram air intake. Car is lowered on skunk2 coilover sleeves with 8k/6k spring rates new struts in the rear. Front and rear upper tower braces. Has a new radio with a USB and AUX ports. Has the Fat Five wheels with decent tires. Have stock wheels and tires to go with the car. Doesn't leak or burn oil starts up every time.
Tell me what you think.

I really would like to call this a mini vette, but it needs some work to get there. The bottom 2 pipes on the 4-1 headers are nearly smashed shut from bottoming out. So we ordered new 4-2-1 headers to give us more clearance. The replaced the brake booster since it was leaking like a sieve. We also ordered new exhaust from the heads back and will be getting it tuned as soon as it is all installed. Hopefully that is all it will need.
